The Balearic Islands are a major holiday destination located approximately 100 km off the eastern mainland coast of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea. The caves found here with the most extraordinary beauty include Drach and the Arta caves in Mallorca along with Xoroi cave in Minorca. All of the beaches around the islands are known for their beauty but don't get stuck doing nothing more than swimming or sunbathing for there is a lot more to participate in. Take advantage of the facilities found on the major islands including jet skiing and para-sailing. If you're a golfer don't worry as you have not been left out with the best courses being in the area of Capdepera on the island of Mallorca. The history buffs need to check out the museums located in Mallorca as they have some important archaeological remains, paintings, renaissance and baroque ceramics.

The night lift on the Balearic Islands is considered to be some of the biggest and the best in the world. While some clubs are hard to get into others welcome you with open arms so don't worry about a place to party. The only thing you need to remember is that the parties carry on all night and well into the next day.

Mallorca is the largest in the Balearic Islands chain and as a result it has much more on offer with reference to holiday villas, beaches and an exuberant night life. All of this can be found in the busy city centres situated in the southern region of the island such as Cala Pi and Sa Rapita. The northern part of the island has a more mountainous landscape with fantastic views from areas such as Santa Ponsa, Soller area, and Andratx but if it's beauty and luxury you are after, the holiday villas in the capitol of Palma de Mallorca are well known through out Europe for their standards. If you want to be in scuba diving heaven there is no place like Cabrera, with its crystal clear waters, it is located just a short boat ride off the south east coast of  Mallorca.

Minorca is a different kettle of fish all together, located in the far east part of the Balearic Islands, is described as a laid back, quiet and an unspoilt area compared to the three main islands. This draws A-list celebrities and a plethora of the upper class party people from around the world. Having said this, there is more on offer than just one big party because a short distance away from the two main club areas, Ibiza Town and San Antonio, you will find a different world. In the outlying areas a short distance from your holiday villa or apartment, you will discover traditional Spanish villages with some surrounded by orange and lemon groves. But it's the mountains of San Agustin and Santa Eulalia along with the cliffs that makes this area so magnificence. If you want to party with the locals then attend one of the fiestas celebrated here as they are like nothing else you have experienced before.

Don't tell anyone, but a hours ferry ride from Ibiza town to Fromentera is reported to be the best kept secret in all of the Mediterranean. Imagine holiday villas set in surroundings of gorgeous clean beaches, clear waters, and secluded coves so don't let the secret out.
