Festivals are a big part of the Spanish life and Girona is no exception. The busiest period is mid-may when they celebrate the Temps de Flores a giant carnival where you will find parades, street dancing, live music with food and drink on offer. If that's not enough there is the annual Jazz festival in September and the Film Festival in October that specializes in Jewish films. The most important fiesta is the Patron Saints Day of Girona, St Narcissus, this is celebrated for a whole week around the 29th of October. Places to Holiday in Girona

Figueres is close to Girona and the birthplace of Salvador Dali. You can visit his home in Figueres and the Dali Museum which has many of his paintings on view. When you visit Figueres be sure to sample the local cuisine as well as the great night life.
