The villa is located just south of Begur on the hill between Aigua Blava Bay and Tamariu two of the loveliest beaches on the Spanish Mediterranean coastline. Aigua Blava is the jewel in the crown of the Cost Brava and the reason is clear when you see the beautiful bay with its green blue waters and soft golden sands. It is a very child friendly beach with a gentle slope into the water. There are two restaurants on the beach serving good food at reasonable prices. Aigua Blava, Begur is just about 75 mins south of the French border and about 95 mins from Barcelona City centre making it an ideal base to allow full exploration of the Costa Brava area with both the beach areas and also the medieval towns and villages to be found inland. To the north are the beaches of Sa Tuna, Aiguafreda, Sa Riera and Pals so you will be spoilt for choice if you are tempted to leave the poolside for a swim! Not a beach person? don't worry the area has lots to offer history, art, music, dance, walking etc. |

Master bedroom description: Three of the four bedrooms open onto the pool terrace. The master bedroom with its four poster bed opens onto the courtyard. All four bedrooms are en suite, there is also a guest cloakroom. If necessary we can add a bed to one of the larger rooms. A travel cot is also available. For stays of longer than a week the linen and towels are changed at the end of each week and the villa is given a light cleaning.

For enthusiastic golfers there are a number of championship Golf courses within a very short distance of the villa including Emporda, Plaja de Pals, Serres de Pals, Platja D'Aro. In fact there is a different course nearby for every day of the week with special rates for the 'golden oldies' . On a couple of days weekly there are English speaking golf societies nearby only glad to have daily visitors. We can arrange a days sailing for you with a local yachtsman you bring the picnic! At Aigua Blava beach there is a dive school with instruction for both adults and children. It is possible to do your Padi if you wish and for experienced divers the joys of the Medes Islands World Wildlife conservation area to explore both by day and with night dives possible. Snorkelling is excellent and in near by Aigua Gelida there are lots of little rock pools for the children to trawl for baby crabs and toddlers. It is such fun for them and a holiday experience they will never forget.
Eating out in Begur
This area is very well known for its excellent restaurants and one can dine in Michelin star luxury or informally on the beach and still be guaranteed great food and wine. Begur has numerous small restaurants and bars both formal and informal with a wide choice there is something to suit all tastes and budgets. The 'Menu del dia' at lunchtime has to be best value of all with menus of three courses: starter, entrée, pudding, wine and bread from 8 Euros pp. The most expensive will rise to 18 Euros at a very 'special' establishment. There are many small local bodegas who are only too happy to share their cavas and wines with enthusiastic bon vivants! More information about the villa
On arrival, park on the driveway and enter through a lovely walled courtyard with its fountain and built in BBQ area. There are steps down from here to the pool terrace which have a gate at the top to prevent small ones accessing the pool without supervision. This is a lovely place for the tiniest to play.The villa is on 2 levels. On the upper level there is a sittingroom, dining room, kitchen, utility room, cloakroom and master bedroom (en-suite) which opens onto the courtyard. To the other side there is a conservatory that runs the length of the villa with fantastic views over Tamariu and the sea. The conservatory opens to a terrace which in turn links to the BBQ terrace. On the lower level there are three en suite bedrooms which open onto the spacious pool terrace which has eight sun loungers and parasols etc. There is a covered built in seating area to the side of the pool which is an ideal spot to sit and read/eat in the shade. The pool terrace is south facing so get sun all day.

We are happy to take bookings for longer than a week (e.g ten days) or with different changeover days outside the months June/ July/ August and September.
All prices are inclusive of utility bills, linen hire and normal final cleaning. There are no hidden extras.
The house is cleaned at the end of each week with a change of linen provided for stays of longer than one week. This is included in the price at no extra charge. The pool terrace has a gate from the courtyard making it inaccessible to small children without adult supervision.
