Well-maintained beautiful holiday self-catering rental. Detached individual villa with 3 double bedrooms & 2 showers (1 en-suite). Built to a high standard in 2003 on one level, set in a quiet and peaceful residential area. It has an elevated secluded south facing position which attracts the sun all day long. Providing both privacy and tranquility whilst being within easy distance of all amenities.

The lounge and dining area are spacious and comfortable, tastefully decorated with matching curtains to patio doors and windows.

The large covered terrace has a large table & chairs, overlooks the pool and is ideal for eating al fresco, enjoying the views or relaxing under.

Fully equipped & spacious modern kitchen. Generally very well equipped, bright and airy, and sympathetically furnished with care and attention.

Private walled gardens & a pool surrounded by a patio with sun loungers & a shower; a BBQ area is adjacent & has a table & benches. Ideal for caring families and the elderly.

There are nice views overlooking rooftops and of the mountains & hills, with glimpses of the Mediterranean sea and of Calpe Rock. The villa is within easy distance of all Calpe's banks, shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and other amenities.

The nearest beaches are about 5 minutes drive into Calpe with its fishing port, fish restaurants, marina and long promenades. There are two long white sandy beaches with lots of restaurants, bars and children's play areas. Here you can find the famous spectacular Calpe Rock rising 332m high which dramatically divides the two Blue Flag sandy beaches.

Villa Catalina is only 20 mins drive from Moraira & only a further 10 mins drive to the beautiful Jalon Valley with its terraced citrus/almond groves and wonderful scenery, Oliva, Denia & Javea. Benidorm is 30 mins drive away with shopping, discos, nightclubs, shows, bars, Aqualanda Water Park, Mundomar (a marine and exotic animal park) & Terra Mitica theme park. Nearby are safari parks & several golf courses. In this region as you drive around the winding roads there is spectacular mountain scenery & many charming traditional towns & villages, such as Benissa, Gata & the magnificent fortress town of Guadalest built on a precipice. Special Notes for this holiday Villa rental in Calpe Holiday rentals in Calpe, Javea, Moraira and Denia Costa Blanca / Alicante

The rental includes all electricity (except during the winter), water bed linen and cleaning.

Bookings are normally weekly from Saturdays although this may be flexible, apart from in July and August), arrival after 4pm and departure before 10am. A 25% deposit is required with your booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks before the holiday commences. There is also a £200 damage/breakage deposit payable with the balance which is refundable after the end of the holiday.

We regret that we do not accept bookings from single sex groups as this is a family home.

Bed linen and bath mats for the shower rooms are supplied but not towels. However, a tea towel and a kitchen hand towel are provided. Other towels can be hired.

The villa is cleaned prior to and at the end of your holiday.

* Winter Lets. It can get quite cold between November and April in the evenings. Due to the extra costs of heating at this time of the year we would have to make an additional charge to cover this. The electricity meter would be read on your arrival and departure days and the cost would be calculated from the meter readings. A deduction would then be made out of the Security Deposit which would increase to £250 and the balance would be returned to you. This appears to be the usual method in the area.

The villa has electric oil thermostatically controlled fixed radiators with timers in the two larger bedrooms, shower rooms, hallway and lounge/diner (two). There are also two freestanding electric fires which can be moved around.

Three electric fans are available to keep cool. The garden has a lemon and almond tree, bushes, cacti, palms, bougainvilleas & shrubs in a typical Spanish setting with a wall surrounding the property (ballustrades along one side) and secure gates. Children can play safely in various areas of the gardens and can use the balls, buckets, spades, pool lilos/rings and other beach toys. A gardener comes once or twice (in the summer) a month to maintain the gardens. Outside lights complete the ambience.

The garage houses the washing machine & portable BBQ. There is parking for 5/6 cars.

Calpe - a marvellous holiday experience

We have visited twice and both times have enjoyed the villa and surrounding area, particularly the beach in Calpe. The villa is beautiful, standing in it's own large grounds and peaceful surroundings. The pool is ideal for a family and have spent many happy hours swimming in it, playing and sunbathing round it. The ameneties within the villa are superb and have not found it wanting in any way, and have not felt the need to wander far from it. The holidays were an excellent experience and one I hope we will be able to enjoy again sometime soon.

The only down-side was feeling that we couldnt enjoy ourselves in pool due to nasty comments from English speaking person in villa across road. We had arrived at 4pm and my 12 yr old son was keen to play in pool after a 12 hour journey. He played in pool with my husband from 4.30-6pm. As we went into the villa a "shut up you brat or I will call the police" was heard from across the road. I was horrified! We are very consious of noise- I can't abide noisy un-disciplined children so was mortified that someone would consider a game of pool volley-ball unacceptable in the early evening. The very next night, having been out all day, we were in the pool at the same time only to once again have the very same person yelling across to "shut that brat up!". After that we felt we couldn't enjoy the pool even during the day. I could understand if we had been making a racket all day or it was after 8pm but neither applied since we had been out all day sight-seeing. We felt horribly uncomfortable for the whole stay- not what we had paid for. We havent been put off villa holidays (having had at least a dozen previous villa stays in Spain) but we wont be going back to this villa and if you have a child(ren) who enjoy playing in the pool, this villa isnt for you.

rating fullrating fullrating fullrating fullrating full 		This was our first holiday abroad with our daughter so were looking for a home from home. Villa Catalina was a superb choice and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.

The Villa is beautiful, very clean and well appointed in every way. We cooked every day and found the kitchen well stocked and easy to use.

The Villa's gardens are lovely and all the outside areas are immaculately kept. We had fun watering the plants on the same day it rained in the afternoon. :-)

The Villa feels very secure and the security shutters make excellent black out blinds for the little one. Calpe was lovely, the locals were very friendly and we often found ourselves deep in conversation even with just a smattering of school Spanish.

Would highly recommend Villa Catalina and Calpe to anyone after a nice relaxing break.
