The area is very quiet and family friendly, with lots of things to see and do. The village of Tamariu is very small but has a supermarket, a number of good restaurants, a small harbour, beautiful sandy beach with a small boat hire facility. Diving is very popular in this area and there is a small dive centre in the village. Snorkeling is fantastic, just off the beach itself. If you are interested in walking the coastal walks or woodland trails are beautiful and very well signposted. The village is very close to both Begur and Palafrugell for more comprehensive shopping and nightlife. Palafrugell has a huge market on each Sunday morning. The apartment is a great base for anybody wishing to make the most of this area of the Costa Brava. |

More info on the area
Tamariu is a fantastic little bay, just north of Palafrugell, Llafranc and Callella de Palafrugell, and just south of Aigua Blava and Aigua Gelida. As you will see there are enough beaches to visit one every day of your holiday, but realistically, if you haven't already been to Tamariu, when you see it, you really won’t want to go anywhere else, it is just gorgeous. A tiny bay set amongst tree lined cliffs with golden sands, a small harbour backed by small restaurants serving great food. If you are looking for Marbella this is not it! If you are looking for something special...Tamariu and nearby Aigua Blava have it all!! Fantastically safe for children and non swimmers with a gentle slope into the water. We sit on the harbour with a glass of wine (I know its decadent but isn't that what holidays area for?) watching the little ones play in the sand...
Golf
Tamariu is on the coast just five minutes by car from Palafrugell. To the north within fifteen minutes drive there are three super golf clubs Emporda, Playa de Pals and Serres de Pals, to the south there are several more including Platja D'Aro and Calonge. In fact some of the best golf in the world is within easy reach. You could play a different course every day of the week ans still not travel for more than half an hour away. We can arrange the tee times for you.
Diving and Snorkeling
The Medes Islands just off the coast are a World Wildlife preservation site and world renowned for the beauty and variety of fish species. Local boats can be hired to go to the Islands. There are a number of dive schools in the area with facilities and lessons for both complete beginners and for the experienced diver. Just off the beach snorkelling is most enjoyable and very popular particularly with children.

The rental rates include linen,towels and normal final cleaning. For more than two weeks rentals there is a cleaning and change of linen at the end of each week.
This apartment is in a very quiet well maintained complex. All the apartments are individually owned and tend to be Spanish owned so outside peak holiday periods (August) tends to be very quiet. It is a short walk to the beach, shops etc., but there is a very reasonably priced rotisserie restaurant/bar in the valley just below the complex which does wonderful spit roast chicken, bbq lamb etc., which is open both at lunch time and the evenings in the summer.
