Rojales
Rojales is a typical Spanish town. The markets, town squares and cafés are bustling with life until the siesta and then the town is eerily quiet until 5pm. The town retains all of its history and has a number of ancient features worth visiting such as the Water Wheel, the Azud, the Charles III bridge and the Gasparito Wells. The cave houses at El Rodeo are also worth a look, especially if you want to browse its regular craft market.
Near to Rojales and bordering the predominantly expatriate community of Ciudad Quesada, is La Marquesa Golf course. For those that are missing home, then the bars and restaurants of Quesada offer everything from full cooked breakfasts to fish and chips.
