Village of Los Silos, Tenerife, Canary Islands

This town can be found in the lush lowlands of the islands on the Northwest coast at the foot of the Reno Mountains. This is a picturesque town with pretty plazas, ancient architecture and winding cobbled streets.

The town takes its name from three huge grain silos that were built here in the 15th century and therefore, unsurprisingly, Los Silos initially based its growth and wealth on cereals and then progressed into the production and manufacturing of sugar.
