Markets in Costa Calida

Shopping - Polaris World

Many of the small towns and villages along the Costa Calida have got their own weekly markets where food and household goods are sold. Markets in the area fall on different days of the week, giving you the opportunity to visit several during your stay. The majority of the markets begin selling their produce early in the morning, and will continue till about 2 o'clock in the afternoon when the heat sets in. Below is a list of only some of the markets along the Costa Calida.

Monday:
- Aravaca de la Cruz: Raimundo Street and some of the nearby streets including Plaza San José - fresh fruit and veg, clothing and household goods. 9 am till 2 pm.
- Murcia: Centrale San Javier - fresh local food, clothing and household goods. 8:30 am till 2 pm
- San Pedro Del Pinatar: Victor Pradera Street and roads in the area - fresh fruit and veg, household items and souvenirs. 9 am till 2 pm.

Tuesday:
- Cartagena: Plaza de la Iglesia and Marcos Sanz Street - mainly fruit and veg. 9 am till 2 pm
- La Union: Mayor Street and Jacinto Conesa Street - local Spanish food market, clothing, souvenirs and household items. 9 am till 2 pm.

Wednesday:
Many regional markets all along the Costa Calida

Thursday:
- Cartagena: Several markets taking place selling different food products. 9 am till 2 pm.
- Lorca: Ganados market place- fruit and vegetables, local dairy products, household goods, textiles, souvenirs and handicrafts. 9 am till 2 pm.

Friday:
- Molina de Segura: In the streets of the town centre - fruit and veg, and local products. 9 am till 2 pm.
- Murcia Regional Markets: In several local villages and their surroundings including Alquerias, Avileses, Beniajan, Espinardo, Javali, La Nora and Santo Angel - general market. 8:30 am till 2 pm.

Saturday and Sunday:
Several regional markets take place throughout the weekend.
