Area Information

This town house is located in the old town just minutes walk to San Christobel beach and close to tropical gardens and the Moorish Castle. It is ideally suited to families and the more mature clients as this is at the lower end of the very pretty cobbled streets of Almunecar. It is also close to all the boutique shops, bars, restaurants and night life. There is a local fresh fish, fruit and vegetable market, and a supermarket are all in very short walking distance so there is no reason to hire a car since everything you could possibly need is here on your doorstep. Along the coastline are numerous beaches and sheltered coves. You are just 1½ hour drive to the ski resorts of the Seirra Nevada. Almunecar has a very good bus service going to major cities, Granada, Madrid, Malaga and Sevilla etc. For further information we are also close to the Tourist Information office who are very helpful and can speak several languages.

Almunecar

Almunecar is a holiday resort town with lots of history, the Moorish Castle, the Roman fish salting factory, the Moroccan built Tourist Information office and much much more. Almunecar has a Friday market with lots of interesting buys. There is also a local fish/fruit market in the centre of town open every morning except Sunday. Alumencar is great for evening walks - shopping, sundowners, restaurants and tapas bars. There is a waterpark just a 15 minute walk away and there are discos and clubs for the young at heart.

The Los Moriscos Golf Course has 9 holes which are combined to create an 18-hole round with a total distance of 5,072 metres. Los Moriscos lies in spectacularly beautiful countryside. This was opened in 1974 and is mainly flat but you will find this more than interesting with the abundance of exotic fruit plantations, including papaya and mango. An unbelievable setting for a game of golf where you will thoroughly enjoy the contrast provided by the views of the sea and the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Golf clubs can be provided at an extra cost.

Although this house is accessible there are a couple of steps at the entrance so may not be ideal for wheelchair access and bedrooms are on the second floor so two staircases to climb. Request for smokers to use the roof terrace. Contact the Owner

We stayed in this very comfortable town house for 2 weeks in March 2010. We chose it because we wanted to be close to bus station, shops and other amenities and it proved to be a good choice. We were unlucky with the weather - wet and cool - so could not make the most of the super roof terrace with its bar, BBQ, plants and views. We were, however, warm inside the house which was well equipped for living with everything one might need.
We had no car and managed very well, walking to the market, the old town and to the beaches. The house is very conveniently placed in a quiet street and close to a park, good restaurants and cafes.
We would happily recommend it to anyone.

Superbly reformed house in a great location.If you dont have a car no worries because everything is a short walk away. Dig out " La Corrala " bar in the old town, vino Tinto y Tapas a must,but if you want to stay in the well built and perfectly designed roof terrace and bar caters for your every need.

Home from Home only with better weather.

We arrived at this lovely Town House after our Hosts had pre-arranged a Taxi to pick us up from Malaga, this was an excellent start as we are non car drivers but the location of this fully equiped House was perfect. It is situated within 5 mins walking from the Beach or the bustling Historic Town with lots of cafes restaurants bars great Tapas. If you wish to venture out to Granada or surrounding villages the Bus Station is easily found and no distance walking. We would throughly recommend this Town House the bedrooms were very comfortable & with large ceiling fans to help keep you cool, the hot water is constant and you can use the two bathrooms simultaneously with no loss of hot water this is so good especially after a hot days , and this is reflected throughout the whole house as so much is available for you very much home from home. We will definitley be booking again.
