Property surrounded by 2.5 m wall for privacy. This villa is within a littoral Nature reserve with pine and eucalyptus woods at 100m from a safe Atlantic Ocean at 1 h driving from Seville (Andalucia) and 0.5 h from Faro (Algarve). Cosy villa with a beautiful sea front, a long and lonely sandy beach with protected dunes where no new building is allowed. There are a sandy path between the house and the beach, a path through the pine forest for walking/cycling to Isla Cristina town and a road from this residential site to the town and A-49 toll-free motorway. The Neighborhood and Beach:

The villa is at the sea front of a quiet, lonely and safe residential area with about 10 family houses surrounded by a clean and fine beach and a beautiful landscape of pine and eucalyptus woods, all within a littoral Nature reserve with plenty of birds, some rabbits and chameleons. The beaches are truly breathtaking with whiter and finer sands than their Mediterranean counterparts. The beaches are typically framed by sand dunes and pine trees creating natural landscapes. Here, the Atlantic Ocean is clean and its beaches, 40 metres wide on average, are a lot wider than most beaches on the other coasts of Spain. The gentle slope of the ocean floor and the sand banks just off the coast ensure that the sea is always calm and safe to swim in along the whole beach with just gentle surf and never any big and dangerous waves. Size of beach & the Nature reserve ensure that there is plenty of space on sand to enjoy sunbathing, beach sports & walks.

TV satellite, Gastronomy and Transport:

TV Satellite: The villa is wired for TV satellite reception providing a number of international channels. Gastronomy: The rich gastronomy of the area is mainly based on wide variety of seafood (tuna, sea bass, gilthead, mussels, prawns, lobsters, etc), which are caught daily and pork products such as Iberian meat, ham, sausages. Transport: Connected by toll-free highways with Isla Cristina, the closest international airports with car hire facilities are in Portugal Faro, in Spain Sevilla, Jerez and Malaga (Costa del Sol) at 30 min, 1 h 15 min, 2 hours and 3 h, respectively. Besides airlines, public transport includes express direct buses to/from Huelva, Seville, Madrid, etc, high velocity trains to/from Seville, Madrid, etc.

Restaurants, cafes and supermarkets

Many restaurants in the area. Specialities are fresh sea fish, mussels, prawns, lobsters, etc and Iberian meat, ham and sausages. Not expensive to dine out. Owners favourites: 1) A beach hut cafe and restaurant at the site named Casita Azul (200 metres along beach). The friendly Manolo & his family cook and serve excelent quality lunch, dinner and coffee and the sea front is just wonderful. 2) Restaurant Cacheron (good & cheap) & El Estudiante (Extremadura St.) and 3) La Gola, the las three at Isla Cristina. Try breakfast of coffee with churros (long pancake sticks) at Gran Via and other cafes in España street in Isla Cristina. Open market and supermarkets: Isla Cristina has a market with a great offer of open sea fish, meat, fresh fruit and vegetables. Well supplied supermarkets in town are Eroski, Dia, Lidl and Jamon. Furthermore, in Isla Antilla resort, Antilla town (3-5 km) there are commercial centres, golf courses, country clubs, shops, supermarkets, cinemas, restaurants.

Golf:

There are two excellent golf courses, Isla Canela and Isla Antilla (27 holes), at 1-6 mile from the villa. Visitors are welcome. Facilities include; Full Grass Driving Range, Putting Green, Chipping Green, Practice Bunkers, Resident Golf Professional. Isla Antilla (1 mile) is the perfect place to explore the golf courses close to the border between Spain and Portugal, only the Dunes of Doñana course at Matalascanas being more than an hour away by car. The beauty of the courses close to Isla Antilla is that they are all rather different. Compared to the Western Algarve and the Costa del Sol, Costa de la Luz ?? Huelva and the Eastern Algarve are as yet ??undiscovered??. Green fees are lower, the courses are less crowded and less busy making it much easier to get a start time that you want and to be able to get round in reasonable time without delays. Other golf courses in the area include Isla Canela, Nuevo Portil, El Rompido in Spain and Castro Marim, Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima in Portugal.

* 300 Euros Security Deposit per week required upon booking and the balance paid locally at the beginning of your stay. Price includes supply of bed linen, bath and beach towels and electricity. Price excludes 60 Euros as cleaning fee paid locally.

* Long term rentals (more than two weeks) of the villa are welcome and will be considered at lower prices, and from October up to March stays will be also considered at a monthly basis.

* If possible, arrival (changeover) day could be Saturday. Nevertheless, we are flexible about it.

ADDITIONAL OUTDOOR FACILITIES: Utility room (with washing and drying machines) and beach showers as common sites shared with villa LalaCristina, garden, porch as another living and dining area with fireplace for barbecues. LOCAL FACILITIES: Swimming, hiking, horse riding, windsurfing, boating, sailing, football, tennis, basketball, golf (facilities in beach, wood sites, Isla Cristina town and golf courses of Isla Canela and Isla Antilla resorts at 3-10 km). Jacuzzi baths, facials and massages can be booked at the 4* Confortel Hotel 5 min away in Isla Antilla resort. OPEN MARKET AND SUPERMARKETS: Isla Cristina, as an active fishing town, has a market with a great offer of open sea fish, which are caught daily. Meat, fresh fruit and vegetables can also be bought here. Well supplied supermarkets in town are Eroski (good), Dia, Lidl (the cheapest) and Jamon.

We stayed (a couple) in the larger house 'Don Juan'. We were looking for swimming, peace and quiet, and restaurants to visit.
We were very happy with our stay and so I'll get the problem out of the way first.
You should know that we live in the quiet country side ourselves and are used to no noise. The problem here was that there were dogs belonging to other householders who disturbed the peace. The first was a large loud fella who loved a good bark first thing in his morning which was approx 7.30 am which was when I was hoping to be fast asleep. The cure? Well try closing the windows at night (but that's stuffy and hot in the great heat you get).
The second dog was left alone during the day and seemed to 'cry' all day out of 'loneliness'; it wasn't a bark; a whimpering cry; sounded very sad; this was disturbing when you are trying to sit around and enjoy a drink lunch or read a book. If you are a heartless beast yourself then it won't disturb you. I spoke to the owner and he explained there is a problem with one of the neighbours not 'caring' and efforts to get him to 'change' are so far being ignored.
The dog issue out of the way; really everything else was great; comfortable beds; clean house; great showers; lovely spaces to read; TV but only non english language; very secure walled area around the house - ideal if you had little ones who like to 'roam'; the beach is just over the dunes from the house- a beautiful trees and dunes walk to a fantastic sandy beach (7 kilometers) so front door to water is ?150 meters; great; and in September the weather was 25 celcius and the water warm.
There is a great restaurant about 200 meters (over the dunes) but they don't list their opening times and it is hard to get an answer when you don't have Spanish but persevere and you'll have a great meal (we found that 930 was their dinner time which is a bit late for us but we struggled on...) If you are happy to drive there are plenty of restaurants in town of Isla Cristina; but getting a taxi is not easy; ie you'll have to phone which comes back to your spanish...cost to home was 10 euro. There are about 8 dwellings in Casita Azul (see google earth) and one entrance from the main road which has a chain and lock to stop people parking whilst they visit the beach; this means one has to lock and unlock each time with a car; small issue.
If they got rid of the dogs- this a perfect hideaway.

la casa en perfecto estado ciñendose perfectamente a lo que ofrecen, la ubicación es lo que uno busca si lo que desea es descansar. si tengo que ser cinsera, lo unico regular es el acceso a la playa, que es poe dunas donde la arena quema bastante al mediodía, cosa que se pude solucionar llevando zapatillas adecuadas
