Area Information

Moraira, considered to be the 'Jewel in the Crown' of the Costa Blanca but once a small fishing village, is now a sophisticated resort. There are elegant shops and numerous restaurants to suit all tastes. There are no high rise hotels or apartment blocks, the area remains exclusively for villa owners and those who prefer the independent holiday There are 3 beaches; the L'Ampolla beach is a lovely sandy beach with a play area for children, El Portet, which is set in a beautiful bay and ideal for children with its shallow waters and Andrago beach, just a short stroll from the town. Walk around the lovely harbour and visit the fish market selling freshly caught fish of the day, then wander around the town and choose from the many bars and restaurants for refreshments! Every Friday you will find the local market on the large car park in the centre of Moraira which is well worth a visit. There are many festivals during the year; one of the most spectacular is the Moors and Christ

A small complimentary welcome pack awaits you on your arrival, 24 hr service for advice and emergencies, booking of car hire from Alicante Airport, and taxies to and from the Airport. Villa folder outlining all details of villa, market days, restaurants, attractions, and places of interest. If you have a late flight we can offer you a selection of grocery packs [price on request] further pictures of pool etc can be sent to you. This villa gets booked very quickly because of the location.

Other Information

If the beach isn't your thing, then there are plenty of other things to do. That is, assuming you can pull yourself away from your luxury villa! The local shops and night market offer a really excellent choice of quality clothes, gifts and keepsakes. There is a fairground, especially suitable for young children, a fabulous Go Karting circuit, for all ages, a tennis club and three nightclubs. Also nearby are three golf courses, horse riding, and water sports centres. The larger resorts of Javea, Denia and Calpe are all within a half hour drive. Benidorm is also well within reach. Here you will find all the children's favourites- Terra M√?¬≠tica Theme park, Aqualandia Water Park and Mundomar Animal Kingdom, with its world famous dolphin show. If countryside and mountain tops are what you seek, then within 40 minutes you can be witnessing the breathtaking views at Guadalest or at the summit of the Sierra Bernia. Also, in just over one hour, you could be in Valencia, Spain's beautiful City

About the town

Moraira has four beaches, each very different in character from the others. The beach of El Portet is the northernmost of these, being situated at the end of a sheltered shell-shaped bay, quiet with clear water and a gently sloping seabed, being ideal and safe for swimming. The town beach, or L'Ampolla, is a large sandy beach with a play area and restaurants. Platgetes is quieter and partly sand/partly rock; and L'Andrago is a boulder beach, ideal for snorkeling. Both to the north and south of Moraira there are many secluded bays and coves well worth exploring. Water sports that can be enjoyed include swimming, snorkelling, scuba-diving, jet skiing, windsurfing, and for the less energetic, sunbathing. The three main beaches are all European blue flagged, and zoned and life guarded so that various activities can be enjoyed safely. Other sports include walking, climbing, cycling and horse-riding.

Great villa, great town, great holiday! Took my mum away for some sunshine and we were not disappointed. The villa was everything the listing said and more. Vary spacious and in quiet spot - perfect for upto 6 family or friends. Very close to lovely beach and a pleasant stroll into the restaurant-packed yet still attractive town. We are not easily pleased but the proof of the pudding is whether you would return and we hope to next year - enough said.

Hi Sue what a fantastic time we had at your villa This villa is well worth booking just a short walk to the beach,
very clean and we where well looked after
this made it a great holiday for us as the children also had an extra community pool as well as the private pool
and just to say we will definitely book this villa again
